Carpenter
Carpenters work on a diverse range of projects, from residential and commercial construction to furniture making and restoration. Their tasks include measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other building materials. In construction, carpenters are responsible for framing, roofing, installing doors and windows, and building staircases. They also work on interior finishes, such as moldings, cabinets, and trim work, which add the final touches to a building’s appearance.
Carpenters often collaborate closely with architects, designers, and other construction professionals to bring architectural plans to life. Their work is not limited to wood; carpenters also work with materials like metal, drywall, concrete, and plastics. They must be well-versed in a variety of tools and machinery, from hand tools like saws and hammers to power tools and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
